Mauritius - Politics

Mauritius having been a parliamentary democracy being similar in structure to the United Kingdom. The head of the state of Mauritius is the president being elected for a five-year term by the national assembly. It consist of 62 members in national assembly having been elected directly by popular vote with additional appointment between four & eight members from best losers election candidates representing pertain to minority if under represented after the elections. The government is controlled & headed by the prime minister and include a council of ministers.
 

The election to nominate is based on five years term. The general elections on 3 July 2005 considered imminent in all the 20-mainland constituency are well as covering the constituency of the island of Rudiq.

It is a tendency to have elections with history of Mauritius to address to a system comprising two major coalitions of parties.

Mauritius being a part of the Indian Green commission followed with the southern African development community, the common wealth of nations & la francophone as named French speaking countries & amongst others in International appraisal systems.

In 2006, Mauritius is told or named to be an observing member of community of Portuguese language countries i.e. CPLP to be closer to those countries.

There is no standing army in Mauritius but definitely contain military structure as like of coast guard officers belonging to have security & police forces.
