Mauritius having been a parliamentary democracy being similar in structure to the United Kingdom. The head of the state of Mauritius is the president being elected for a five-year term by the national assembly. It consist of 62 members in national assembly having been elected directly by popular vote with additional appointment between four & eight members from best losers election candidates representing pertain to minority if under represented after the elections. The government is controlled & headed by the prime minister and include a council of ministers.
