make a pilgrimage to Ajmer during the annual
Urs Ajmer Sharif, a six-day festival that
starts with the new moon in the seventh
month of the Islamic calendar. The rest of
the year, most travelers chug straight
through to the nearby backpacker Mecca of
Pushkar, and with good reason-Ajmer has a
relatively poor selection of hotels and
restaurants. |
