Visitor enter through the Sariska Gate, to the center of Sariska (north-west of the reserve’s core area) after paying their fee at the office nearby. The standard itinerary includes taking the main road to Pandupol, which passes by Karnakabas Lake, Brahmnath, Kalighati Chauki and Bhaironghati. Those with more time and varied interests can turn off at Ka lighati to visit Kankwari Fort(to the west of the core area) or Neelkanth Mahadeva via the exit at Tehla Gate(to the south).
Almost all of Sariska is hilly terrain dominated by the Aravallis, which run north – south along the park. The Aravalli Mountains at Sariska are topped by two vast plateaus at Sariska are topped by two vast plateaus, each 5 km wide: Kankwari and Keraska. The park itself varies in attitude from 270-360 m.
There are three large lakes within the boundry of the park: Mangalsar (also known as Mansarovar), Siliserh (to the north-east), and Somasagar. To counter the scarcity of water sources at Sariska, the administration makes arrangements for providing water to animals in summer and has helped in sustaining high numbers of ungulate populations.
