For those with a sweet tooth, the mishri, mawas, and ghevars of jaipur are the best in the state; Lassiwala, on MI Rd., also whips up a delicious sweet lassi. Surya Mahal, MI Rd. Next to Niro's. Popular among businessmen, families, teens, and tourists alike. Specializes in South Indian, Chinese, and pizza. Dosas, veg.dishes. Open daily 8am-11pm. Its affiliated bakery, Bake Hut, around the back, is full of Westerners with pastries in hand. Open daily at 9am-10:30pm.

Natraj Restaurant, M.I.Rd., on the strip with the other eateries. "A vegetarian's paradise" has an extensive, mostly Indian menu. Open daily at 9am-11pm.

LMB, Johari Bazaar in the old city. Incredible veg. food in a quirky A/C enviroment. Try not to fill up first at the attachment sweet shop.Open daily at 8am-11:30pm

Green Tandoori Dhaba, off MI Rd., down the street opposite Hotel Shaan. Next to Old Green Tandoori Dhaba. Prices are cheaper if you can manage to order off the Hindi menu. Full tandoori chicken, chicken curry or chicken mughals. Open daily 11am-11pm.

Jal Mahal, MI Rd., next to Surya Mahal. Perfect for dessert after a meal at any of the MI restaurants. Tasty ice cream cones, floats, shakes, and sundaes.

Pushkar
