Lakesong Resort is another appealing venture of the Eastend Group. It is an idyllic retreat that offers an unparallel opportunity to savor the magical sensation of “God’s own country”.
Nestled among the serene backwaters of Kumarakom, Lakesong comprises of 8 acres of facility packed leisure land. It is indeed a retreat with a difference in that it offers excellent facilities with uncompromising quality and superb service. Backwaters Cruise
The lush green region of Alappuzha is criss-crossed by an intricate network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water bodies. It is known as “The Venice of the East”. It is a land blessed with natural beauty a Luxurious houseboats converted from traditional rice boats, and small catamarans are the taxis of this watery land.
A Trip in the houseboat along those endless backwater stretches is a no-miss for any tourist. This is enjoyed by one and all who stay in our resort.
 

 Accommodation

Though all cottages vary in configuration, and some of the air-conditioned units are newly built replicas incorporating only fragments of old tharawads that could not be saved in their entirely, Coconut Lagoon offers three basic types of accommodation: Heritage Mansions, Heritage Bungalows and Private pool villas. The former have two stories, the upstairs bedroom gallery offering particularly magnificent views of Lake Vembanad.
 

The latter are more compact, single-level cottages. Both are furnished in aiyny and jack woods, and retain all the charm of original family homes, with thick, solid doors, intricate window carvings, and terra cotta tile floors. Structurally necessary alternations have been carried out with consummate discretion, i.e., in keeping with the style and decor of the era, and great attention has been paid to every detail. The lampstands in each tharawad, for example, having been carved from old wooden hinges. Traditionally, of course, Keralites bathed in the rivers - in rural areas many people still do - but Coconut Lagoon's cottages feature ultramodern bathrooms, each located, in an inner courtyard boasting its own banana (or coconut) tree, so you can shower al fresco under a starlit sky in complete and utter privacy!
 

Food
The resort caters to the likes of all taste buds. Indian, Kerala Specials, Continental, and Chinese cuisines are served. Master Chefs specialized in their fields are at your service to deliver tasty gourmet dishes.

Reception
The interconnected lacework of inland canals at the resort is pleasing to the eye and offers a peaceful stroll around and over its tranquility. Guests have the unique facility to glide by boat all the way from the lake right into the reception area. The facility will leave you pleased as it will spare you from the walk after an energy sapping outing.

Party area & Amphitheatre
Large open air spaces allow you to have private lawn parties. An amphitheatre is at your disposal to have elaborate parties. Fully equipped halls can be availed to hold meetings

Following this holistic stream, Lakesong Ayurkshethra the 'Temple of Life' brings forth the true concept of ayurveda and Yoga, to help your tired body on to a path of health
recovery with traditional rejuvenation techniques . Lakesong Ayurkshethra is housed in an elaborate traditional model structure with decorative handcrafted wooden carvings that will take you back in time and heritage.

BASIC CONCEPTS
Life in Ayurveda is conceived as the union of body, senses, mind and soul. The living man is a conglomeration of three humours (Vata, Pitta &Kapha), seven basic tissues (Rasa, Rakta, Mansa, Meda, Asthi, Majja & Shukra) and the waste products of the body such as faeces, urine and sweat. Thus the total body matrix comprises of the humours, the tissues and the waste products of the body. The growth and decay of this body matrix and its constituents revolve around food, which gets processed into humours, tissues and wastes. Ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation and metabolism of food have an interplay in health and disease which are significantly affected by psychological mechanisms as well as by bio- fire (Agni).
