What’s more, being close to the bird sanctuary Kumarakom Lagoon, a lakeside forest walk would present with mind-blowing sightings of a variety of birds, insects, reptiles, Indian cormorants, kingfishers, tree frogs, green frogs, butterflies, damselflies, tree lizards and more!

‘Kettuvallam’ - the traditional rice barge: These converted boats come with built-in rooms, well-furnished and comfortable interiors, kitchen, verandah and a lot of windows all around, letting in the cool breeze, while keeping out the sun and the rain.
