Itinerary
Day 01-02
Munnar:
Munnar is rated as most delightful and
wonderful hill station situated in the
Western Ghats stretched at about 5000ft
above sea level. This is considered as one
of the best and beautiful hill stations in
Kerala and is the foremost centre of
Kerala’s tesa industry. Munnar as may be
called by other name and considered of three
rivers and the town is situated at the
concourse of three mountain streams that is
Muthirapuzha, Nallanthanni and Kundale.
These three streams uniting with each other
rest at the heart of the town and meet all
the water requirements of the settlers and
visitors to its best. Munnar has lakes,
forests and several tea estates and worth to
watch and attractive. It is also wonderful
to watch the highest peak as called Anaimudi
as nearby to it in South India measuring
2695/8883ft. At times Munnar was the British
Government’s summer resort in the south and
considered to be the favourite summer resort
of European settlers for decades.
Many of the chiefly and versatile
sightseeing attractions and source of
happiness visiting that include are the
Kundale tea plantation, Eravikulam National
Park, The High Range Club, Top Station
Muttupetty, Devikulam, Rajamalai,
Chitrapuram, Marayoor, Pallivasal/Pothamedu
etc.
Day 03-04
Thekkady:
Thereafter proceed to Thekkady and check
into the hotel. Thekkady is also rated as
paradise for real and original spices as
like black pepper, clove, cardamom and
cinnamom. The best thing is considered in
Thekkady is to go for boating on the lake
and the Mullai Periyar Dam and also worth to
visit and exciting. Generally it takes on
boat two hours and you can enjoy the
choicest views and picturesque of wild
animals. It is also very essential and worth
taking photos. Keep with you digital camera
with optical Zoom so as to enable you to
take closer shots of the animals. It also
explores the possibilities of great
satisfaction and happiness for Adventure
Tourism in Thekkady. They are various
programmes being carried out by the Forest
Department and offer like Periyar Tiger
Trail, Natural Walk, Bamboo Rafting etc.
Other bodies include like private
organisations and governments agencies that
is KTDC promoting most glamorous adventure
tourism in Thekkady. Various other enjoyable
and delightful programmes are also being
functioned by these agencies that keep
tourists and visitors to see and learn the
cultivation of various spices of Kerala for
their interest accordingly.
Day 05-06
Kumarakom:
Thereafter visit to Kumarakom and
accordingly check into the hotel. It is well
known that Kumarakom as titled , the Queen
Of Vembanad is a distinguished “resort”
destination. This small and little village
on the edge of Vembanad Lake was practically
unknown till one Henry Baker boughtand
acquired this land from till then the King
of Travancore and made grand and beautiful
home with his own analysis and requirements.
Kumarakom, presently is considered to be of
complete network of modern resorts and
heritage-homes-cum-hotels shedding over the
island’s bank. Visit to Bird’s Sanctuary in
Kumarakom is must and practically very ideal
and eyecatching watching delightful and
elegant small streams, rivers and waterways
alike wonder canal or so called navigable
river. The beautiful scenery of Vembanad
Lake covered by mangrove forests and paddy
fields appeared to be one of the best sites
for bird viewing inside the sanctuary. The
great population of birds with lovely
feathers of its class along with adequate
pleasing climatic conditions transforming
into delightful picnic spot. Undoubtedly
Kumarakom is a famous and most remarkable
backwater destination in Kerala and a must
to do motorboating or houseboating and

cruising on the lovely and beautifulVembanad
Lake as one of the best way of experience is

Pathiramanal consisting of a small island on

Day 07

Drive thereafter to Cochin Airport for
departure with sweet and unforgettable
