About Us

Cardamom Club is a Plantation Resort set amidst in a beautiful Cardamom farm situated in Thekkady, adjacent to the Periyar wild life sanctuary in Idukki, Kerala, India. It is covered around about 15 acres of lush green area offers a great view from its top end. It also provides many adventurous sports such as trekking rock climbing, fishing and angling.

What is does have however, is a fabulous, authentic experience of living in the middle of the jungle, some great treks, silver silence punctuated only by the occasional warning calls of birds or monkeys when a carnivore comes visiting. And it offers you the best peace you've had on vacation anywhere anytime. This 16acre property shares its boundaries, not fences with the Periyar wildlife sanctuary. The promoters of Cardamom Club are keen to offer nature oriented services & maintain an eco friendly atmosphere.

Jungle Safari Programme to Gavi

At a distance of 40 Km from Periyar sanctuary (Thekkady), there lies an Eco-System named GAVI with luxuriant forest, grassland and wild animals. Spread across the beauty of Periyar Tiger Reserve, Gavi is a quite, beautiful & pristine forest heaven. These evergreen forests are abundant with magnificent wildlife including the tiger, elephants, leopards, bears, Indian gaur, sambar, mouse deers, lion tailed macaque, Nilgiri Marten and lot more. For the nature lovers, Gavi offers the complete acquaintance with the flora & fauna. Gavi often serves as the base camp for deep jungle trekkers, bird watchers, nature lovers and research students.

The Programme

The programme involves close interaction with the nature. Let the rough journey to Gavi may better to made on a sturdy vehicle like Jeep. Official forest guard & trained guide will provide all the guidence and services during the programme. The safari is through the midst of evergreen forests to the Camping site at Gavi. The trekking course passes through dence patches of forests where the elephants roam free & man meet nature in its true sence. And for the nature lovers, you will be taken for a rowing expedition to Paradise Cove – the place of wild flowers & butterflies, where the silence is broken only by the sound of birds. For any wildlife enthusiast, the treks will undoubtfully rewarding.
