Goa is mainly known for its beaches. People come to laze on the beaches. In recent years it has been realized that this is not enough. As a result the number of activities were offered to the tourists and now theses activities have become a major source of enjoyment.
>> Motorcycling and Cycling
Motorcycle is the best vehicle for exploring Goa and the shorter rides such as Panaji to old Goa, Palolem to Rajbag can be performed by cycle. There are various rides like
• From Calangute, Anjuna or Vagator, head up the coast via Morjim and Mandrem to Arambol.
• From Arambol the ride up to Terekhol Fort is quite stunning.
• From Margao, explore Salcete taluka around Chandor and Loutolim.
• From Benaulim or Cavelossim, ride down the coast road via Betul, Cabo da Rama and Agonda to Palolem.
• From Panaji, ride out to Old Goa and across to Divar Island, or continue to Ponda to explore the Hindu temple and spice plantation.
>> Water Sports
Goa’s main beaches have a special and attractive feature of water sports which is active from November to March. Three beaches are Calangute, Baga, Bogmalo and Colva. The various activities are Jet scheme parasaling water scheme wind serfing wake boarding and banana-boat ride.
>> Yoga and Meditation
 Due to the demand of tourists the traditional practices are being practice in Goa. Beach resorts offer Yoga and Meditation classes, Ayurvedic treatment, Astrology and holistic healing. Diving- After the Andaman and Lakshadweep island the Goa is at the third top stop for diving. There are two schools for Learning diving. Both of them offers courses and boat dives. Famous dives includes Grande Island and St George’s Island. South of Goa, off the Karnataka coast, are Devbagh Island and Pigeon Island are also popular.
